This week's activities - what a busy week!

Here is a sample of what's been happening at school this week. It's been a very busy week with lots of child-initiated learning going on.

 Aksel has been reinforcing his letter sound knowledge by playing games on www.starfall.com 

 Atom has been learning how to use the mouse. This is quite a tricky skill as children have to hold it, move it, and click all at the same time! 

 Aussie wanted to learn more about space so he drew a picture and then went to the library to find space books. 

 Aya was inspired by Aussie's quest for space knowledge! She too wanted to learn more!

 Pin showed me how to draw stars.

 Fang enjoys the new painting area and produces many fabulous works of art!

 Caio, Mew and Pheem are keen to learn about dinosaurs and enjoy our new dinosaur puzzles. 

 They then draw some dinosaur pictures to show what they learnt from the puzzles. 

 Alice makes some caterpillars in a cocoon. 

 Aksel is fascinated by our pet caterpillars and decides to draw some observational pictures. 

 Kor-Bua also draws some observational drawings of our little pets! 

 Paimok and Yao Yao are trying out a new game - dressing Chloe and Zoe! 

 Aussie makes a cocoon. 

 Pueng practices flattening playdough. This is quite a tricky thing to do, but very good for strengthening small muscles. 

 A funny video on CBeebies makes us all laugh!

 Peng makes butterflies in a cocoon.

 Atom makes a birthday card for his Grandpa. 

 The boys dance along to Dinosaur Rock on Cbeebies!

 Aksel keeps an eye on the cocoons. 

 Caio looks through a butterfly book. 

 Aksel is completely fascinated by our new pets! 

 Mew writes animal baby names on post-it notes. 

 Atom also write animal baby names. 

 As does Aussie. This kind of activity is vital in reinforcing early writing skills. 

 Pheem is scribblng on Paint. This is very important for mouse control. 

 Aussie discovers how to make paper rockets fly by squeezing air out of a plastic bottle - great fun!!

 Pheem has a go at launching rockets, too!

 Atom wants some of the rocket action! 

 Caio and Pheem make a race track. 

 Alice joins in...

 Now for the ramp...

Here come the cars...

 Caio reads about dinosaurs. 

 Aya is busy writing her friend's names.

 Now everyone wants to make a dinosaur egg!

 So we makes maps to show where the dinosaur eggs are hiding.

 Kor0Bua takes a break from dinosaurs and plays Chloe and Zoe. 

 Fang and Samut are making a school house...

 Then they take the register. 

Aussie and Zoe make a big mess with the cornflour and water! Great fun!
