Today we have been learning how to collect information and use this to create a bar chart. We used a frequency chart to find out which was Y1K's favourite character from our book "The Jolly Postman". We asked members of the class to vote for their favourite character and recorded it using tallies in our frequency chart.
We were also able to answer questions about our tally chart. For example:
"How many children voted for The Jolly Postman?"
"How many children voted for Cinderella?"
"How many children voted for The Wolf and the Three Bears?"
