Counting in 10s

We made a snake across the classroom using cubes. We decided we wanted to count how many cubes there were. Mee said lets count in tens.

We broke the cubes up into blocks of ten.

Then we counted how many groups of ten there were. We had 43 groups of ten and 3 extra cubes. Our snake was 433 cubes long!
