At school we try to read a story to the children everyday. We also read in groups and individually with each child. Reading is up there as one of the most important things you can do with children, and one of the most important skills that children can learn. 

We've always known that reading daily to your child has been hugely important in their language, creative, and social development and as teachers we always promote daily reading.
